Baby and Me Yoga

Wednesday’s at, 11am - 45 minute practice with 15 minutes of baby yoga and socialization at the end

Class is held at Crystal Tree Yoga studio in Georgetown

Class lead by Kristin Heywood who is a Pre + Post Natal Yoga Teacher, Certified Pregnancy and Post Partum Personal Trainer and exercise specialist. Kristin is also an Infant Feeding Counsellor, Childbirth Educator and Birth Companion and works to help you build a stronger connection to self .

An exceptional Post Partum experience.

  • Each week we will build on various yoga poses and postpartum exercises, while connecting with other moms and your baby.

  • Gain confidence and ease during the postpartum period.

  • This class is a safe and exceptional postpartum exercise. Start out life with your baby in a mindful and peaceful approach by practicing yoga together.

  • Restore your balance, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor all while bonding with your baby.

  • Learn techniques in baby yoga and how you can move and play with your baby and also help them with their digestion!

Class designed for people with Pre-crawling babies.

Step back into your confidence.

  • Pelvic Floor Awareness

    Learn ways to breath and move with your pelvic floor and how to recover optimaly. Whether you have had a vaginal or cesarean birth the pelvic floor is affected by pregnancy and childbirth and can cause disruptions without proper awareness and strengthening.

  • Breath and Movement

    Practice movement and breathing techniques that you can take off your mat with you to support your journey. The post partum time can be hard, a daily practice of movement and connecting with your breath can help you to stay centered.

  • Community and Connection

    Connect with others locally on a similar journey. Don’t try and do this alone, you have arrived at your village! Despite everyone’s differences we can all connect on one thing, needing someone to talk to who knows what your going through!

"I luckily found out about Kristin's Baby and Me yoga class in Georgetown when my little girl was only 3 months old. I was feeling ready to get out and start doing things and this was the perfect activity for me and the babe to socialize (and move our bodies) since we just moved to Georgetown and didn't know anyone in the area. I met some amazing Mamas/friends in these classes and continue to get together with them weekly to do other activities.
