6 Things Your Need To Get To Feel Confident on your birth journey

6 Things Your Need To Get To Feel Confident on your birth journey

1. A daily practice that allows you to feel grounded and strong in both mind and body

Can you imagine waking up every morning with no aches and pains and no worries , doubts or fears towards your upcoming birth? When we commit to a practice that not only supports the health of our body but also our mind, we can truly step into our power.

2. Actually understand the birth process and what to expect

Intuitive birthing does NOT look like waking up on your due date and thinking, "Oh SHIT how can I learn how to birth my baby today?". Take it from me - I used to think I was operating intuitively by flying by the seat of my pants.

Birth can go so many ways, when we practice and learn different ways to move, breath and connect with baby and ourselves we can feel prepared for when sensations start.

3. A routine that actually works and you wake up feeling confident and capable

When you have a routine that you commit to that's catered just for you, you thrive. There is no ONE way or ONE size fits all for pregnancy and birth. Your journey will be so different from everyone else. When you look at your body as a whole on a holistic level and focus on where you can make small changes to start to wake up feeling more confident and strong, you can start embracing our journey.

4. A community to cheer you on

To make this really simple - you need people.

We need a village to help raise our children and to feel supported through everything. Start building your village now of like minded practitioners and individuals who make you FEEL good! Its not up to your doctor or provider to provide a community for you, its up to you to reach out and build your tribe. When you have people cheering you on who are on a similar journey, you suddenly don't feel so alone.

5. An understanding of what can happen during birth and beyond so your prepared for the unknowns

Knowing the different types of interventions that can occur during birth is so important. Avoiding learning about a cesarean birth or episiotomy won't stop you from experiencing them, it will only leave you feeling unprepared if it does happen. Childbirth education is important for you to be able to handle anything that life throws at you.

7. Aware of all ways to feed baby so your not scrambling or feeling overwhelmed once they are here

Being able to feed your baby is very important. If your not sure, learning about breast/chest feeding, bottle-feeding and pumping can help you decide how you want to feed your baby. So many unknowns can come up with feeding and there's no one way. Everyone has different wishes and desires depending on the needs of the family.

My clients have had results like this -

* Felt prepared and confident with a surprise Cesarean birth

* Handled feeding baby with grace

* Breathed through sensations with strength and ease

* Chose the epidural and confidently breathed baby out vaginally

*Conquered pelvic pain through pregnancy

What is it for you? What action can you make in your life to reach any goals or wishes you have for your pregnancy or birth? This goal will normally force you to make some changes with both your financial goals but also your time goals.
